Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the anaba iOS app and anaba.app (together, the "Service"), operated by Tyler Hughes ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using anaba, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use anaba. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

You sign in with Sign in with Apple and choose a username. You're responsible for the activity on your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@anaba.app.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the journal entries, photos, and other content you post ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it to the friends you're connected with, solely to operate the Service. You're responsible for the User Content you post and for having the rights to post it.

4. Acceptable use & zero tolerance for objectionable content

anaba is built around real friend connections, and we have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You agree not to post or engage in content or conduct that is:

• Illegal, harassing, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory;
• Sexually explicit, exploitative, or involving a minor in any way;
• Violent, or intended to incite violence against a person or group;
• Spam, impersonation, or fraud;
• An infringement of another person's intellectual property or privacy.

Every piece of friend-authored content and every profile in anaba can be reported directly from within the app, and you can block any other user at any time — blocking immediately removes that person from your search results, map, friends, and activity, and removes you from theirs. We review reports and act on violations — including removing content and terminating accounts — within 24 hours of receiving a report.

5. License to use the app (EULA)

Your license to download and use the anaba app is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula, in addition to these Terms. If there's a conflict between that agreement and these Terms regarding acceptable use or account termination, these Terms control.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, including the acceptable-use rules above. You can delete your own account at any time from Settings → Delete account.

7. Third-party services

anaba uses Google Places to look up information about places you add, Apple services for sign-in and push notifications, and Supabase for backend infrastructure. Your use of anaba is also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
